Cayuga Lake Getaway (June 26-28, 2008)Bill and I wanted to take a last little trip before we become parents, and since our Finger Lakes wine tasting trip was thwarted in May due to car electrical problems, we thought we would give it another try. This time, our power steering belt snapped about an hour and a half into our trip, but we didn't let it get us down. A little stop in Bartonsville, PA for lunch and a new power steering belt and we were back on our way. We really just wanted this to be a relaxing getaway, so we didn't try to pack too many activities in and decided just to focus on Cayuga Lake, but we certainly had a wonderful time!

Very Quick Trip to DC (May 29-31, 2008)| Bill had a conference in DC, so we went down on a Thursday evening, he went to the conference on Friday, and Saturday we saw a bit of the mall before heading home. We've both been there before, so we basically just wanted to see the WWII memorial which was new for us. Not much else exciting happened. I worked on my dissertation in the hotel room while he was at the conference. Here are the few pictures we have from our little walk on Saturday. |

Skinners Falls (July 23-24 2005) I told Bill weeks ago that this year for my birthday, I wanted to do a canoeing and camping trip like we did a few years ago. So we went to Skinners Falls, NY, a place where Bill had gone many times as a kid. We invited several friends for two days of canoeing and one night of camping on the Delaware River. Nothing like waking up on your birthday morning to fresh air and sunshine... and a freight train running through your tent!
Despite the rude awakening in the middle of the night, we had a lot of fun. I didn't take any pictures of the canoeing the second day because it was just Bill and I, and we decided to just enjoy the peace of being on the river. Also, there are no pictures of the tubing we did on the rapids at Skinners Falls. Next time I'll have to get a disposable waterproof camera.
I can't wait to do it again next year!

North Carolina Summer 2004 (August 20-24, 2004)| Bill and I loaded up the car and headed down to North Carolina for a quick trip to spend some time with his Mom. The drive there took a VERY long time... fortunately we had our history tapes to keep us company. Our trip was much too short, as it always is, but we did our best to pack a lot in. We also got to meet the newest member of the family... look for pictures of her in the animals folder. |

Arizona (June 2004)| We spent a week in Arizona with my Dad, Stepmom, Niece, and a couple of the cutest dogs! We have a zillion pictures of this trip (really, a zillion) so they won't all go up at once, so keep stopping by. Pictures of the dogs will go in the animal folder... except for a few. |
