Fleet Week 2008 (May 23, 2008)My "little" brother Gary's ship (The USS Leyte Gulf) was docked in NY for Fleet Week this year, and I got to spend one of his days of liberty with him. His friend Rich joined us. After a tour of the ship, we headed to the Statue of Liberty, followed by FAO Scwhartz and Central Park, and ended the day with dinner at Brother Jimmy's and drinks with Bill at Waterfront . All in all, it was a very great (if exhausting) day, and I was proud to see so many New Yorkers show the respect these sailors deserved!

Spring Weekend with Mom (April 12 and 13, 2008)| Mom came down for the weekend and we filled it with some of her favorite activities... shopping and going to the beach. And of course, what would a visit with Mom be without a trip to a cemetery? This time we were more successful at finding who we were looking for. Not too much to show, but we had great weather for both the cemetery and the beach. Here are the pictures! |

Day with Mom (August 26, 2007)| Mom came down to stay with Bill and I for a long weekend. She had lots of her own activities to do, but on Sunday I got to spend the day with her participating in some of her favorite pastimes... hunting for relatives in cemeteries and visiting lighthouses! We started the day off at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn, then headed to Huntington to visit a lighthouse. We got some great pizza and then some great bargains in a Huntington thrift store (though no pictures of that). It was a most excellent day! |

Wine Tasting (May 27, 2006) Keith and Beth invited us out to Long Island Wine Country on a beautiful spring day to sample some good wine in the company of friends. We had a blast and it was fun to return to the place of our... ahem... "honeymoon".

Bill's Birthday 2004 (October 21, 2004)So this album is pretty much all the pictures of our honeymoon as well. We couldn't afford to really go anywhere, so we stuck around the area, relaxed, bought a tv, and did some local stuff. I planned a big day for Bill's birthday. We headed out to the north fork of Long Island, started by apple picking, then did a wine tasting, and then did a corn maze... which I've wanted to try for several years now, and then went to a nice dinner in the Bronx. These are the pictures of the first three events. The day was a blast, and the weather was gorgeous. There is a large smudge on several of the pictures, but I wasn't carrying the lens cleaning kit with us, so there wasn't much to be done about it while we were out. Enjoy the pictures anyway!
