78 Pinto Wagon......soon to be turbo.
This Pinto is in the condition Ive been looking for. No rust and pretty straight. Its a V6, auto and has A/C, power steering and brakes. Just 53,000 miles.  Since its a V6 it has an 8" rear end. I think Ill drive it for a while then start swapping parts from the rust bucket turbo 79 wagon to this Pinto.
The address for the 79s album is----http://ImageEvent.com/pandbz/1979fordpintowagon

The springs are out.
You can see the Volvo front mount intercooler leaning against the 79 Pinto. More about that later.

Mock up.
I mocked this up. I was going to use 1"x1" square steel tube as a spacer between the spring mounts.
Note that the spring is upside down.

I was told that the thing would squeek like crazy without the rubber bushings. I decided to go another route.

I cut the sides off the 79s top mount and placed the lowering block between that and the 78s top mount.

I had to cut the rubber bushings flush with the top so the block would fit snug.

I had to remove some material under the block so it would fit tightly on the mount.
