Sand Castles (Feburary 5, 2006)| In Feburary, Mazatlan held a Sand Castle building contest. They had professionals do a large sculpture over a couple of days. The amateurs were given a plot of sand to create thiers in 5 hours. I helped out a small group of cruisers and our team won a first place in our division. |

Mazatlan Sunset (April 15, 2006)| We made a mad dash to mazatlan Mexico to drop off boat supplies and to pick up friends for our return trip to the USA. After we left Mazatlan we went to Copper Canyon. |

El Fuerte (April 16, 2006)| After we left Mazatlan we drove the RV to El Fuerte. This town is one of the places to catch the trian for Copper Canyon. We toured the town and left the RV in an RV Park while we traveled by train. |

Copper Canyon (April 19, 2006)| We boarded the train for our 5 day trip into Copper Canyon. We went from El Fuerte to Creel on the train, in 5.5.hours. We spent the night in Creel at a Best Western hotel. The next day we chartered a tour to the bottom of the canyon, where we spent the night in Batopilas. We toured the area around the town and the next day returned to Creel and the Best Wertern for the night. The next day we toured the canyon rim to Divisidero and we were dropped off the Posada El Mirador Hotel located on the edge of the canyon. We spent one night there and then caught the train back to El Fuerte ending our trip. |
