Here's a school of walleyes on Kiowa Flatts. I was scanning and came across the first few fish (bottom of screen) at about 3.5 mph and pulled back the throttle to fish them.  The picture was saved at 1.7 mph, and you can see how the slowing of the boat elongates the returns as I  was slowing/stopping.
"I am still missing how slower = longer. Sorry" --Hannibal Mike, 02/01/13
"Mike, The very top of the screen is the most current data. As it rolls downward, the data gets older. You will notice at the bottom of the screen on the left, that the fish images are more detailed, because I was going 3-4 mph, and had the chart speed set to match boat speed. When I initially seen the fish come on the screen at the top, the fish were clear, and as soon as I seen them, I pulled the throttle back to slow down to fish them. As the boat coasted by them, speed slowed, and the image of the fish began to elongate, as they remained in the beam longer than when I was going 3-4." --Rollie, 02/20/14
