Flexwrap is then folded down to form a sloped pan flashing. "I found a cap nail placed at the rounded turn area will help keep the Flexwrap from peeling up at the turn, which happened on a number of my windows after a few hot days." --Kevin, 09/04/05 "Kevin, I agree. The Flexwrap has a lot of "tension" on it when it wraps the corner. What I failed to take a picture of, is rolling the flashings in with a 2 inch wooden wall paper roller. This helps considerably in keeping the flashings in place. I also completely overlapped the straightflash over top of the rounder corner of the Flexwrap, and rolled it in. There wil be 6 inch wide trim around the windows applied. I will hold off on adding any additional mechnical fasteners, if possible. Rolling it in, makes a big difference, but I'm not opposed to mechanically fastening it if needed." --Rollie, 09/05/05 | |
