PHTA members worked with the Bureau of Land Management and local volunteers from southern Maryland to improve the newest designated segment of the PHNST at Douglas Point in Charles County, Maryland.

The work opened up the trail route by pruning and bush cutting, marking the route with paint blazes and clearing a side trail to Blue Banks Beach on the Potomac River.
