Kai Elua Outrigger Canoe Club, San Diego
These are photos I have taken as a member of the Kai Elua Outrigger Canoe Club. Kai Elua OCC is an amateur, non-profit athletic club based in San Diego, California. We have been in San Diego, on Mission Bay, since 1978. Club members commit their time to become proficient paddlers and to be competitive with other clubs in California and throughout the Pacific Rim.
Kai Elua means 2 oceans and symbolizes the union of the Hawaiian and West Coast cultures and seas. Our objectives are to encourage understanding of Polynesian culture and to maintain and perpetuate outrigger canoe racing.
