Door Art...
Door is painted to look like a bamboo bookcase. The sides of door are also painted like bamboo..so that when attached to the wall it has a diminsional look.

At least this piece of art can be moved to a different location in your home or to your new home if you should ever move.

I painted  faux rattan as the back of the bookshelves and also the fronts of the faux drawers and doors on the lower half of the faux bookcase.

Enlarge photo 5
5
Everything you see on the door is trompe l'oeil...the drawers and doors are all painted on.

Enlarge photo 6

Enlarge photo 17
17
Plain white closet door...was the only thing you saw in the room.

Enlarge photo 18

Now it has character...a faux french dhoor is much more interesting..

Area in family room that needed something....Theres about an 18inch ledge in the space up there.

Enlarge photo 41
41
First morning...Based all the elements in...Had my first panic attack up there....Should NEVER have looked down.

Enlarge photo 42
42
Another view of the space..
The clients wanted the look of a library up there.

Enlarge photo 43
43
Looking up at the space. Ive only basecoated everything in...no detailing done yet

Enlarge photo 44
44
Finished bookshelf...Took this pic up on the ladder...

Enlarge photo 45
45
I didnt have to put in too many details since the library is only viewed from down below..

Enlarge photo 46
46
Inspiration for the palm/urn came from a set of coasters the client has in the family room. I added the round window for interest..

Enlarge photo 47
47
It certainly added interest and color and there isnt anything to dust...

Faux brick walk leading up to front door..

Enlarge photo 51
51
The faux brick walk is painted on the wood decking.

Enlarge photo 52
52
Here I am painting a green lizard sunning on the walk.

Enlarge photo 53
53
The client has several outside kitties and thought the lizard would be fun.

Enlarge photo 54
54
Closeup of lizard. The faux bricks were very easy to do..I used 1/4 detailing tape and a roller.

Enlarge photo 55
55
Triple topiary painted on opposite side of door where I painted another.

Enlarge photo 56
56
These topiaries have gotten to be so much fun to paint..Im very pleased with how they turn out...Can you see the electrical outlet in the urn?

Enlarge photo 57
57
Spiral topiary freehanded on wooden gate. The topiary compliments the sideyard garden very well.

Enlarge photo 58
58
Topiary took only 1 hour to paint from start to finish.

Enlarge photo 59
59
View of the topiary from the sidewalk along the street.

Enlarge photo 60

Window scenes painted on magnetic sheeting which worked perfectly on the metal doors to the Media Center.

Bottom half of discarded china cabinet..with some paint and creative thinking it has a new life...

Enlarge photo 66
66
I painted the faux scarf on top, fleur d'lis scrollwork on doors in black..the chest is painted a pale gold. I added new wooden knobs instead of brass ones like it had.

Enlarge photo 67
67
Courtyard wall mural painted this morning for GES Career Day...inspiration taken from BHG Paint Decor mag.

Enlarge photo 68
68
As you can see, mural was painted on white paper for the demonstration..took about 3 hours, including the faux background color.

Enlarge photo 69
69
I will be painting a similar scene in a showhome bathroom next week...this was great practice..

Enlarge photo 70
70
Faux window painted in a windowless
bathroom. Client wanted a view behind the commode.

Enlarge photo 71

View from the entryway of the bathroom.

Enlarge photo 72
72
Finally painted one of those spiral topiaries for myself...I had to paint over my hydrangeas when I repainted the walls....The green of the topiary pops against the red clay walls.

Enlarge photo 73
73
See how great the topiary looks placed on my pantry door...

Enlarge photo 74
74
Topiary painted on luan..Cutouts can be adhered to most any surfaces.  Best part is itll never die....

Enlarge photo 75
75
Topiaries painted on sheet of luan..I will cut them out so they can be affixed to a gate, wall, or wherever..

Enlarge photo 76
76
Same shape, completely different looks. These too are painted on luan and will be cut out so they can be used inside or out.

Enlarge photo 77
77

82
Client has decorative wooden embellishments to adhere to the front of the mantle.

Enlarge photo 83

Shells and water spruce up the antique sink in my daughters beachy bathroom.  The basin of the sink had lost most of its enamel shine, so I just sanded it and painted it...

Enlarge photo 84
84
Jan. CTTY ornies that I painted for Debbie Matthews.   The artichoke is painted on a shell cutout..the apple has a glare so it doesnt really show up the colors...and the pineapple cutouts were a Dollar Tree find... the ornies were all drybrushed...with lots of different colors...

Enlarge photo 85
85
I carved/etched our high school logo onto a pumpkin which I used as a center piece for an appreciation luncheon I hosted for all of our athletic personnel.
It was a big hit...

Enlarge photo 86

Faux peaches painted on those cheapo ornaments.  Peach ornies will be given to other cheerleaders who are cheering at the 2006 Shrine Bowl by the Gilbert Varsity Cheerleaders.
