Now the kitchens decor flows into the next room..I did the faux stone on all the mouldings in the room too.

Enlarge photo 18
18
Kitchen cabinets before I started doing the painting. tired and dark lookin.

Enlarge photo 19
19
Kichen cabinets after fronts of doors were marbelized and topiaries painted on the fronts.

Enlarge photo 20
20
Amazing how just a little paint can give an old kitchen a fresh new look.

Enlarge photo 21
21
I painted assorted ivy topiaries on some of the fronts of the cabinets..the clay pots in the topiaries update the orange colored counter tops.

Enlarge photo 22

Larger topiary painted on the broom closet...

This was a boring white fireplace mantle...I used lots of layers of metallic washes to give the faux finish depth..

Enlarge photo 35
35
The client uses alot black accents in the room...thats why I picked up the black on the two areas of the mantle

Enlarge photo 36
36
I did alot of stippling for the background color then applied lots of metallic washes in golds, champagnes and bronzes.

Enlarge photo 37
37
Faux finish I did in the entry way and up the walls of the stairs....

Enlarge photo 38
38

Faux finish and faux columns painted on wall in Black Lion. I also crosshatched metallic glazes on the old fireplace mantle.  This space will showcase florals/greeneries.

Closeup view of the cabinet..Client also changed the knobs to match his hutch when he basecoated them all...

Enlarge photo 41
41
Kitchen cabinets were a dark stain before client prepped them with kilz and basecoated them white..He wanted them to go with his new table/chairs/hutch which were a shabby chic/old world look.

Enlarge photo 42
42
There were 21 doors and 9 drawers that I did a faux finish on...Using a tan colored glaze to do the technique with.

Enlarge photo 43

The finished look. I sanded off the paint in some places before doing the faux finish.

Sunflowers were painted over the existing apple tiles...Made quite a difference in the look of the kitchen.

Enlarge photo 45
45
(BEFORE)I scuffed up the exiting apple tiles and applied glass/tile medium before painting the sunflowers over them.

Enlarge photo 46
46
(AFTER) The sunflowers really looked "happy"(clients words) in her backsplash.

Enlarge photo 47
47
Backsplash before I painted over the apples. She had retired from teaching and was tired of apples..

Enlarge photo 48
48
(AFTER) I painted red geraniums and sunflowers on the cabinetry above the sink...

Enlarge photo 49
49
(BEFORE)  I sanded off the old apple stenciling.  Her walls are now painted a mellow gold color..

Enlarge photo 50
50
The space atop her pantry door needed some color...so I painted a larger swag of snnflowers and geraniums....

Enlarge photo 51
51
View of the swag above the doorway.
We decided to keep all her cabinetry/trim in the wood tones...She has a red brick floor which is only accented by the gold walls...

Enlarge photo 52

My newly updated laundry/computer room..I stripped off the old wallpaper, repaired walls, painted top half, fauxfinished lower half.
I also put down the new floor...132 tiles...UGH!!

The fireplace mantle before I did the faux painting. It was nice but not the focal point in the large room...

Enlarge photo 61

I primed the marble with deeptinted Bullseye primer. Rolled on the black, then added veins of 3 different metallic golds, and using a flogger brush to softed the veins...
