1 Faux wood fireplace surround, I painted to look like the cabinets in the kitchen...the surround is actually textured sheetrock..(The green tiles are real.)
| 2 Closeup of the faux wood effect.
| 3 Faux finish I did in the dining room area...The basecoat is a brazillian flame color with 2 applications of gold/antique gold on it.
| 4 This too is a textured sheetrock(HARD STUFF TO PAINT ON)...
|
5 Heres a few of the dining room and kitchen area of the model home when you come into the front entry.
| 6 The kitchen area...its a nice size kitchen, I painted the walls SW Ramie color and did a grapevine garland along the tops of the kitchen cabinets.
| 7 Here you can see the grapevine/grapes garland I painted along the top of the kitchen. The countertops are a sagey green cereamic tile.
| 8 A topiary painted in the small entry way of the home.
|
9 View of the topiary when you open the front door. I used the SW Ramie(tan) throughout the entry, familyroom, kitchen area since it is an open concept area.
| 10 In the master bath, I painted 2 palm trees in the corner next to the large tub. Palm trees will be used to decorate throughout the model home since it is located at Palm Harbor Homes.
| 11 I painted this bedroom a lovely yellow color and painted a flower garden in the corner...You can see this garden from the front of the house looking down the hallway.
| 12 This smaller flower garden is located at the entry of the bedroom.
|
13 Closeup of the corner garden in the front bedroom of the model home.
| 14 The hallbath is basecoated with Dried Grass (a greenish tan) I accented the bath with palm limbs with reddish/orange berries.
| 15 Another limb over the door going out the door in the bath.
| 16 Tea stained faux finish I did on the walls of the showroom. The walls were blonde then I added 3 applications of burnt umber glaze in a swirling motion with a seasponge...
|
17 The chocolate brown finish makes the rope details on the cabinetry really pop.
| 18 Close up view of the faux finish. I made 3 different trips around the entire room adding the glaze mixture to deepen the color.
