2012 We the People State Competition
The We the People curriculum enhances students' understanding of the institutions of American constitutional democracy, and also helps them identify the contemporary relevance of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. The culminating activity of the program is a simulated congressional hearing in which students demonstrate their knowledge and skills as they evaluate, take, and defend positions on historical and contemporary constitutional issues. Competitive hearings are conducted at the high school level.
