June Chime
Hand hammered and domed brass top, with 5 copper tubes, cut, drilled, and hammered, then sanded from 200grit to 1200grit and then buffed. Latigo strapping knotted at the top of the 3.5" x 3.5" top. Three of the tubes are 1/2" diameter, 2 are 3/4" diameter. The center portion, the clanger, is a formed and rolled piece of brass with the Beijing symbol, which has a wonderful sound. Tubes vary in length from 6" for the shortest to 10" for the longest. Total length is 12" from the domed top.

What a stunning necklace to wear that has some interesting stones. The six agate donuts have been linked with 18gauge Sterling silver bands and show Chinese Jade on the Carnelian donuts and Serpentine on the lime green. Two carved agate leaves hang from three Serpentine beads, with Laboradite beads on either side. The rough tumbled stones are separated on one side with the round Garnets, and irregular shaped Garnets on the other. The Sterling silver hand formed clasp has Laboradite chips and beads at the end. This great copper and sterling neck collar has been formed using a method called anticlast. The piece was cut out, sawn into a wave design, then annealed, and then hammered into a wooden form to give it a rounded form on the inside next to the neck. Then I used a chasing hammer to form it around another wooden form. Spots of Fine Silver were soldered on, and it has been finished to a 1200 grit smoothness. It's marked DHT 43 with a cross on the outside of one open end.
Pieces like this take several days of forming and finishing. This measures 13 1/2" with a 2 1/2" opening. The center measures 1 1/4" and a depth of 1/2"

20 gauge brass anticlast bracelet with a By Pass design. To me it has a very Arts and Crafts feel to it.

This started as a flat piece of brass 7" by 1 1/2" wide that I drew a design on, annealed, quenched in pickle, sawed out, and sanded.

I used a cross peen hammer to mark a design on the down side, and then annealled it again, because the marking work hardened it.

I then used a nylon hammer and fammered it down into a curved out channel in a piece of wood until it started to round the inside and stretch the outside.

After annealling it a few more times, I held the two ends with my one hand and hammered with the other making sure that the inside was staying round and free of ridges. I burnished the inside of the top gave it a final sanding with 4000 grit paper, buffed and polished it.

3 strand glass pearl necklace with wired focal plack. I cut out a 1 1/2" square out of brass, drilled holes for the strands and for the wiring of the beads. I then sawed out a matching back, with tabs. After I finished the wiring on of Czech beads, vintage beads, real pearls, leaves, garnets, and Swarovski Margaritas, and black diamond beads, I placed the back over it and clamped down the tabs to cover the wiring. Length of necklace is 24" 25", 26" and the focal part measures 2" by 2 3/4".

Re-do of a copper over tin bracelet made for my customer in IL. She bought it off Ebay and hated it. There were bezel set plastic oval 'stones' on the 3 middle panels, it was dingy and nasty and the bezels were riveted on so they stuck up when you had the bracelet on. I drilled a hole on either side of the one left by the rivet, and wired in rough turquoise for her and polished it up.
