From Cuzco to Puno by bus (January 2008)| This 236 mile bus trip took 9 hours, but only 6 of the hours were spent traveling. The scenery and historical stops were well worth the time spent sitting. First we stopped at Andahuaylillas to visit its "Sisteen chapel," then to the archeological complex of Raqchi at San Pedro to visit the remains of the temple of Wiracocha, then Sicuani for lunch, and finally we stopped at the town of Pukara to visit a museum of Inca history. |
