1 One of my better-informed friends at work is taking classes at BOCES. He told me that they're having a car-show, so I went. From the point where I pulled in, I saw a sign advertising a Car Wash. I asked if this was the same venue as the car show. I was first asked if I was entering my vehicle in the show. Since the truckster is a beater, I declined that offer. The admission fee was up to me with the proceeds going to fighting Childhood Cancer. I forked over a ten-spot, and went in. Here's the first car I saw.
| 2 The next T-bucket is more along my line of what's considered custom. There was virtually no information posted on the car or its' origins. It looked to be a fiberglass repro, but I can't swear to it.
| 3 Here's a shot of the interior. It fits the mid-60s theme, making me less sure that it is a kit-car.
| 4 I am fairly certain that this is a genuine vintage Ford. However, there are several companies that make Ford bodies using the original molds, so I could be mistaken, once again...
|
5 Here's a shot of the motor-vation.
| 6 Some classic style pinstriping. Hardly innovative, but certainly well carried-out.
| 7 Again, a typically 60s style interior.
| 8 Yellow isn't exactly my favorite choice for a paint color, but it works.
|
9 The decal on the vavle cover fits, although it's hardly imaginative, or innovative.
| 10 The interior is simple yet fitting.
| 11 Again, another vintage style hot rod. Two-tone paint, wide white tires, lotsa chrome.
| 12 A well carried out interior. I wish that there had been somebody around I could have asked where the console orignated from.
|
13 It is an automatic, and I'm not thrilled with the brick red color of the side and carpetting, but it seems to work, with the peach exterior color.
| 14 Ahh a black Ford wagon. The body is nice and straight, however it's got dog-dish hubcaps on plain steelie rims, a boring factory grille, aand a red interior. Ho-hum.
| 15 I was pretty bored by the time I got to this vehicle. The way things were laid out, I had no interest in checking to make sure I was correcly identifying what I saw. I think it's a '62 Ford Falcon but I don't know the year. If I was customizing one of these, the first thing that I'd do is make the scoop at the front functional. Give it some ram-air power. Of all these that I've seen in shows, nobody has tried that, which I feel is a simple upgrade. Hmmmm I wonder if I'm the only person who thinks along those lines?
| 16 The interior is set up for racing, that adds some koolness points. But it's red. It is well done, despite the girly color choice.
|
17 Away from the crowd is an old Model T or A, From this distance I'm not sure which.
| 18 I guess this clears that up.
| 19 It's in good shape and it' got a rumble seat!
| 20 A challenger and Farari were in the lot, but they were away frm hr main group so I'm unsure if they were entrants or not. There was a jacked-up Ford pick-up truck which I didn't bother to photograph, due to it falling high on the so-what scale.
