Soldered Silver Filigree Jewelry
3. Soldered Silver Filigree Jewelry  (July 6, 2008)
This folder of pictures and videos is dedicated to my work and experiences with soldered filigree jewelry. If you are interested in this type of work, the best place to learn is a fantastic book by Jeanne Rhodes-Moen, titled "Silver Threads". It's available at Amazon.com and has taught me everything I know about this type of work.

Seed Beaded Work
4. Seed Beaded Work  (August 28, 2008)
Seed beaded work may be found here in mixed media of different forms. Seed Beads combined with Swarovski Crystals, or polymer, or just about anything else that can be embellished with the wonderful colors, textures, and various effects of the often underrated, but gloriously admired Seed Beaded hand work!

6. PMC  (November 27, 2005)
Working with Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is an awesome experience. I would like to recommend two teaching publications.  First is, "Creative Metal Clay Jewelry", by Cece Wire. Second, "Introduction to Precious Metal Clay", by Mary Ann Devos. There are also some great online tutuorials on PMC!

THE JEWELRY CONNECTION
8. THE JEWELRY CONNECTION  (December 29, 2008)

Beginning January 20th, 2008, at 2:00 pm CST, I started up a live radio talk show at nowlive.com. The Jewelry Connection is the name of the show and I am hosting guest jewelry artists, talking jewelry design, sometimes doing tutorials, and generally exploring the world of jewelry design from an artisans point of view and experience. I invite you to join us!

Update: December 29,2008 The program began in January with an audience of 15-20 people and has evolved into a live listening audience every Sunday afternoon of between 3000 and 8000 live listeners! I am filling the 2009 calender for guests artists and hope that you will consider being a guest on the show. Webcam and microphone/headset offer the best possible interview, but pictures and text messaging are another alternative and it is quite do-able. You can also call into the show to conduct your interview! I prepare video presentations of your work, send out invitations for your show, and offer a script to prepare you for the program! We can also meet in advance at the broadcast room to do an equipment check and get you familiar with the site long before your actual interview! To participate is FREE.

Show Time is every Sunday afternoon at 12pm PST - 2pm CST - 3pm EST depending on where you are! If you don't know what US time zone you are in this is a link to help you find your time zone  http://www.timetemperature.com/tzus/time_zone.shtml  Looking forward to seeing you there!----------M

Update - April 10th, 2009. The First year with this program brought many exciting and wonderful experiences for myself and listeners alike! The Jewelry Connection recently relocated to a new site and is better than ever with better quality video, better quality sound, and more user friendly interface for guests! You may click through the podcaster below to visit the broadcast room. The podcaster will go live when shows are in progress on Sunday afternoons! Enjoy!

Lamp Work Beads & Fused Glass
9. Lamp Work Beads & Fused Glass  (September 5, 2005 update #3)
I have been lampworking for about six years now!
I work with a dual gas torch (oxygen and propane). All of my work is kiln annealed for long enduring quality. The most recent work is first and chronicled in reverse order showing progress from day one, in the pictures at the end. If you want to see how I have progressed, start at the bottom and work your way to the top! This keeps the several people who are watching my progress from getting bored with scrolling to the bottom every time they drop in to see what is new! For questions or comments you can email me directly at mhair@pdq.net! Thank you all for your wonderful support and encouragement!
Hugs to All, Mona
