Cable car Here's how we got to the top of Sandia Peak to scatter some of Mom's ashes. It's the longest cable car ride, almost 3 miles.
Cable car works The sign reassured us that it was built by the Swiss.
Sandia This is some rock that the cable car guy pointed out on the way up. It had some colorful name that was not '45 degree angle rock'.
Mini-service I'm reading a few words before we scatter the ashes. Dad's next to me and taller half-sister Diane is holding Dad's wife Elaine.
Skyline Here's the view of the city from the top of Sandia peak.
High Finance This is the restaurant on top of the mountain where we went to feast and toast Mom's life.
Labyrinth This labyrinth is in the courtyard of the Saint Francis church in Santa Fe.
St.Francis I'm in the blue hat, and half-sister Diane has a wolf peeking over her shoulder.
La Plazuela This was a very good restaurant in the La Fonda hotel complex in Santa Fe.
Bars Here was one of the many statues around a gallery that Dad and Elaine took us to, which included paintings by one of their favorite artists, Dale TerBush.
Elk balls Diane's hand is seen by my shoulder there. We were mesmerized by the elk balls. The sign even says 'jewels'.
Santa Fe shopping Amidst all the expensive jewelry and Santa Fe stuff was this cow skull painted with a black panther. I don't know why, but that cracks me up. I imagine some dude hanging it on his apartment wall and thinking, "This is so metal!"
Bubble wrap Eric caught this guy delivering his weekly load of farm-fresh bubble wrap.
A church I wish I remembered the name of this church in Old Town square in Albuquerque. There were palm fronds in the courtyard from Palm Sunday.
San Felipe de Neri church Thanks, Google! I'm in the front pew being thoughtful.
Sky Here's the sky from the Petroglyph National Monument park. You can see the Moon and a very thin slice of the very top of Sandia peak way in the distance.
Petroglyph National Monument park Here is me demonstrating the subtle art of camouflage.
Petroglyph National Monument park They hit this rock with the petroglyph hose pretty hard.
Petroglyph National Monument park We're not sure what's going on with this guy. I call him 3-antenna wiener man.
kokopelli Ignore me; I am the wretchedly tacky background!
