Um...another view of the countryside, while walking, apparently from my left side this time.

I call this one "impressionistic" (you may call it "blurry")...what one gets by taking a quick pic while walking.

Here are some of our pilgrims emerging from the path during day 4 of walking (along the Arzúa to O Pino portion of the route).

This is a group of Italians resting at the little cantina where we regrouped before starting out again on day 4.

I believe this is the chimney in the medieval kitchen at the Sobrado Monastery.

Enlarge photo 26

This artistic shot of Mo and Lisle clearly calls to mind the work of Manet (ok...I'm stretching a bit).

I attempted to create a scallop motif with my hurtin' feet and toes. Note that my two #2 toenails have acquired the telltale color of future fall-offs.

Marga separates fact from fiction as she guides us through the cathedral and explains the work of sculptor Master Mateo and his little statue to himself (knock your head against his 3 times for smarts...I was the only one in our group who did so).

The altar with St. James (postcards of this are much better).

The rigging for the Botafumeiro, a giant incense burner swung on holy days (and when one pays 340 euro, as another American group did the day we visited).

The silver encased St. James remains (or someone's). We kind of passed by fast, so it's an action shot. I have a better postcard of this anyway.

Another accident...but it shows a brief, sideways clip of Lisle taking a picture of the view from the cloister at Sobrado Monastery. The clip reminds me of super 8 film.
