Family Tree Photos
1966 spelt the disaster for my mum's side of the family... not only did my great grandmother (Olive Rogers) die, but also the meticulous photo album's that she kept were partly destroyed due to rows over Olive's will.

However, many of the photos were saved and the next problem was to discover who was who! My grandparents tried their best to write down names on the back of pictures, but there were quite a few mistakes!

My mum and I have tried to organise the photos, and this is the result.  I’ve added extra bits I’ve found from the internet and a special thanks to my distant relatives, Barbara Girling, Roger Impett, Carolyn Ireland, Dawn Clayton and Theresa Murphy for identifying people and allowing me to add their collection of photos/ images!

At the end of the album I've also included some written postcards (images 73 to 86), a Christmas card produced by Carolyn Ireland’ grandfather John Brundle and also a booklet he produced (images 87 to 113) and old photos of Woodbridge, Suffolk (images 114 to 122).

If you recognise anybody pictured PLEASE leave a comment, even if it's just to confirm who they are, thanks. If you would like to add any photos to this album or get in touch with me concerning the family tree then e-mail me at lol.jay@hotmail.co.uk

If you would like to copy any of the images, then feel free, I hope you enjoy the album!

{Please note that any photo's which are postcards can be dated 1894 onwards, as the British Government only allowed postcards to be posted from 1894... any portrait postcards can be dated from 1902, when this was allowed}

In the middle are John Fuller and Mary (nee COOK) surrounded by their children.

On Mary's knee seems to be sat Rachel, on John's knee seems to be Ellen, the girl at the front could be Lucy Elizabeth, and behind the two parents could be Leah.

I think the boys in the photo could be, Caleb, Arthur, Joshua, William Alfred and James (in no particular order).

We have only just found out that my husband's gt grandmother was Emily Blanche Marchant nee Brundle b.c.1855 Bromeswell.  We have found the family on the census living at Angel Lane but hae little else to go on.  Was thrilled to find your website & the wonderful pictures, wish we could find a link.cons

That was really interesting as I believe my Grandfather came from the Suffolk Norfolk area. All i know, that his name was frederick brundle and that he died around 1929.I was also told some of his family emmigrated to Australia and became sheep farmers.

I wonder how common is the name Newson. I have not met anyone  else with that last name who was not related to me.

What a fantastic set of photos.  I am very distantly related (Leah's 3rd cousin 3 times removed!).  I hope to collect together my own family photos.  These were inspirational.
