Avn Section, 2nd Brigade, 101st ABN DIV  LZ Sally RVN 67/68  As a member of the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation, lemme tell ya that it's just great to be able to fly to airshows across the country in this Caribou and our other ex-Army aircraft to allow the American public to actually touch real flying history. ( The Loach we brought to Branson was the ACTUAL one I flew in VN. )  Great pix, Cindy !

I was on 4149 at Branson with Bob Schrader You can't emagine the thrill it is to "relive our youth" and be able to fly on these Aircraft again. Get involved if you can. I flew as a Flight Engineer in the 134th Avn Co at Benning and Vietnam. That was the highlight of my Military Career of 21 years.

Only those of us who had the wonderful opportunity to train ON and and FLY these "great" olde' birds will ever know the actual thrill they offered the Aviators of that era. - I was one of those granted that privilege and I shall cherish those feelings all of the days of my life. - I loved all of those Early Army Fixed Wing aircraft and through their usage managed to see much of the world in Peace and War. - "Keep them flying" and may many others get the chance to share "our" excitement. - I too am very proud to have served as an U.S. Army Aviator during the "glory" days of Army Fixed Wing. - [also a member of WOFWAC 63-1W and 63-2W]
