Read below what FUR can do to help you find a new home for your unwanted rabbit.
BEFORE DUMPING A RABBIT at a shelter where it may be euthanized, consider emailing a picture and description of the rabbit to teamfur@gmail.com. The Friends of Unwanted Rabbits (FUR) will place the rabbit's picture on their website, www.teamfur.org, along with your contact information. Anyone interested in adopting the rabbit will contact you directly. People looking for rabbits are familiar with the FUR website. Your rabbit will get more exposure and will have a better chance at being adopted as opposed to dying at a shelter due to a lack of space. Rabbits make wonderful indoor pets and are easily litter box trained. They are very social. Rabbits are very sensitive to heat and cannot be outdoors if it is over 80 degrees. Call FUR at 916-710-0105 and leave a message for a volunteer to call you and answer your rabbit care related questions.
