I believe, but am not sure, that the toddler on the far left is Irene and the young girl on the far right in the front row is Jessie. Anyone know? Anyone recognize any of the others? I think the boy with the white shirt is Ken Jenter.

SS#7 Thorold, my public school.
Grades 1 thru 3 it was a one-room school. There were 2 doors,one on each side of the windows..the left one for the girls and the one on the right for the boys.A cloak room and a washroom were just inside each door. There was a wood stove at the back of the classroom.And yes, there was a strap. My grade one teacher was Mrs.Carman and the other 7 years it was Mrs.Bowden.We learned grammar for which I am forever grateful!
