Lace Ridgebacks & Rat Terriers
Welcome to Lace Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Rat Terriers. We are exhibitors, competitors, and lovers of both wonderful breeds. I got my first Ridgeback, BIF FC Ruvanda's Ruffles N' Lace MC FCH (ASFA), in 1997 and lost her too soon Memorial Day 2006. It is in her memory that we chose our kennel name of Lace. Ruffles was bred one time and produced 6 beautiful babies, 3 of which are show quality. The Rat Terriers are our "fun dogs"!! Like many people, I grew up with Ratties and wanted my children to as well. We've always had a Rat in the family and when they became eligible to compete in AKC companion dog events, I knew it was time to get some nice quality Rats. They are so fun to show and fun to train, being as smart as they are. The dogs truly keep our family busy. My daughter shows in Juniors as well as the breed ring, both AKC and UKC. At the age of 9, she put a lure coursing Field Champion title on a Whippet that she co-owns with a dear friend. My son enjoys and loves the dogs, but the dog games are just not his game and that's OK. But I can say it is a family affair with all the help my children both provide!! My dog showing and training goes back over 20 years and I have met some of the most wonderful people and dear friends in the "dog world"!! So enjoy looking at our K-9s!!

TORI IS AN AKC CHAMPION FROM THE BRED-BY CLASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She finished January 20, 2008 at Fort Bend Kennel Club by taking WB, BOW, and BOB!!! She then made the CUT in the tough Hound Group!!
TORI IS A UKC GRAND CHAMPION!!!!!!!!
Rachel showed Tori to her UKC Grand Champion title January 27, 2008 at the Texas Classic, finishing in style with a BOB and a Sighthound Group 3!! |

Spicy is currently in training for Rally and Agility!! She has one leg towards her Grand Champion title.
**Spicy earned two of her three Rally-O legs towards her RN title with style, taking one second placement in spite of the handler's (me) errors!! (March 2007)**
(Due to registration paperwork problems w/ AKC, we lost credit for these two legs. But that's ok, now we're even a better team and will start over in July '07)

Spicy entered in a sub-novice class for the first time in Denton, TX for practice and made Qualifying scores both days (April 2007)!!

Spicy earned her Rally Novice title at large AKC shows in Dallas, TX the weekend of July 6-8, 2007!! And she did it with style with scores of 93, 98, and 97 with TWO second placements in very large classes!!

Spicy is on her way to her AKC Companion Dog title by taking a 3rd place in her first trial in Longview July 28, 2007!!
Another obedience trial and another placement -- 2nd place in Corpus Christi in August, 2007!!

Watch for Alli in the breed ring and eventually the agility, rally, and obedience rings!! In her first show in the non-licensed puppy class, she took two Resrve Best Puppy in Multibreed Show!! What a start!!
