Turkey Eclipse Tour
A few snaps of a great trip to Turkey ostensibly to witness the total eclipse on 29th March.

Please be aware that the eclipse photos themselves are few and far between as I got completely carried away once totality hit.  In any case, I firmly believe that photography cannot do the event justice as it is such an overwhelming and complete experience.  Only by being there can it be fully appreciated.
Date(s): March 26 - April 2 2006. Album by Kathie Yeowell. 1 - 52 of 52 Total. 302 Visits.

The prominences were a surprise to me....I thought the sun was in a low-activity phase at the moment?

Sorry the pictures so wobbly but I was too excited at this point to actually keep the camera still!

Your gang's pictures just get better and better! Some amazing shots. We're off into Manchester this weekend to buy a better (21st Century)camera.

Many thanks for the memories.
