Week 5 What a busy week for the little kidlets. We went on our first long car trip and met tons of new people. My goal is to introduce the babies to at least 50 different people before they go home at 8 weeks. If you think about it, it's HARD to find 50 different people who are interested in playing with a stranger's pups. So far, we've met and been handled by 12 different people. Thank you to those of you who played with us!
They are starting to relate to their environment and entertain themselves. Their little personalities are starting to emerge. So far, we have no shy shrinking violets in the bunch. There are two who look like they might be toots. We're going to have to keep an eye on them!
They are starting to demand their food. Little Tehya is still nursing them, but they want MORE! Soon, Tehya will start weaning them... I hope. She's just started leaving the puppy pen for more than just potty breaks. Her favorite part of the day... Right after the babies decide they've had all the food they can eat and I let her go clean up the left overs. She is looking great! |

'PR' HDK’s 1st in Line 1st in Right (July 5, 2009)What can I say about Bubba? He's my BIG puppy! While being very sweet, Bubba is also all terrier. He looks to his person for reassurance every once in a while, but mostly he's out in front and exploring with gusto. He was born on May 1, 2009.
Bubba's looks and size go back to his Mama Monkey's side of the family. I estimate that he is going to be approximately 15" tall, and about 18 pounds fully grown. His color is seal and white, just like his Mama.
Bubba has been started on housetraining, and does a good job of letting me know when he needs to be outside to do his business. He is well traveled, having been from Wyoming to Texas and all points in between. Bubba eats a diet consisting mostly of raw chicken. He is also good with my cat, other dogs, and all people!
Bubba has also been rated at 8 weeks as a show quality puppy. His attitude and good looks make him a winner. He is currently being leash trained, and doing a fabulous job!
I am also proud to announce that Bubba is also a Purple Ribbon dog, meaning that he has at least six generations of UKC registered dogs in his pedigree. That is what the 'PR' in Bubba's registered name represents.
