This is the story of Katie a Congo African Grey Parrot, her special harness and pictures of how to use it.

1 *****	2 Hello, I'm Katie	3 "This is my safety hook to Mom."
4 "See how smooth my harness is under my wings."	5 "Just pick up the leash."	6 "and Let's go outside!"
7 "I'm at the beach." right behind our motor home	8 "The directions said bring a distraction." Mom brought me some pea pods because I love them.	9 "We're having fun, Right Mom?"
10 "Yikes! Did you hear that noise?"	11 "INSTINCT - Fright..take flight" Even if you have your thumb clamped on a larger parrots toes, if they are frightened and decide to go, they are going..	12 "Don't worry..." Thanks to my harness I am back safe my with Dad.
13 "I scared Mommy, she is holding me close."	14 Day 2- How to lay out my harness	15 "I have to show Mommy what to do next."
16 "Put my head through the head loop."	17 "Pull strap on the right without the buckle under my wing	18 "Repeat on the left with the buckle side."
19 "Put non buckle tab through loop on back tab."	20 "Fasten the buckle securely."	21 "Snap on the leash."
22 "Step Up Katie."	23 "Finished and ready to go."	24 "Safety Hint" We put an elastic around the handle, so it won't accidentally slip/pull off, We discovered when those wings flap, they are very strong.
25 "Just a moment to ponder I am going out."	26 "I went visiting. Can you guess where I went?"	27 "Wow, to the ice cream parlour for an ice cream cone" This is Kim, she co owns the ice cream shop. Beside her is her daughter.
28 "Sandy came to see me." Sandy owns the shop, comes from Florida and has a CAG.	29 "A second cone... :-)" I dropped the first one so Sandy got me another one.She said I can go and get a cone anytime I want.. :-)	30 "Thank you Scritches."
31 "Woohoooo a giant come to take home." I shared with Li'l Miss Kiwi and MR.Tuxedo.	32 Mommy said I was such a good girl I could have another of my favourite treat. The End
