Roaring Forks
Roaring Forks Nature trail is a 5 mile winding, one-way trail that starts in downtown Gatlinburg. It offers rushing mountain streams, glimpses of old-growth forest, and a number of preserved log cabins, a grist mill, and other historic buildings.

It was raining to heavy overcast on the day we went. I relied upon my 17 - 55 f2.8 lens in those dreary conditions. I didn't get out in the rain to photograph the old buildings as I had done them in '07.

I have never seen the mountains, so I have especially enjoyed this 8 day trip.
