Prop 8 Rally  (May 26, 2009) - Marriage Equality Rhode Island in response to the California Supreme Court’s decision on Proposition 8, held a candle light rally Tuesday evening at Memorial Park across from the Court House in Providence.  Supporters were joined my news reporters, Mayor David Cicilline and State Rep. Sidebar Grill March 09 Lesbian Lounge  (February 20, 2009) - MERI's first "Lesbian Lounge" night was held in the back room of the Sidebar Grill. _ 223 Visits 24 Images Shared Album 5. Downcity's February 2009 Drag Brunch  (February 15, 2009) - In honor of Valentine's Day, the February Drag Brunch at Downcity Restaurant was a fundraiser for MERI. Statehouse Rally 2009  (February 12, 2009) - MERI held a news conference at 3 PM and then had a rally at 5 PM tied to other rallies in other states, all to be held 2 days prior to Valentine's Day. _ 362 Visits 161 Images Shared Album 7. No On 8 Protest  (November 15, 2008) - MERI hosted the Providence No On 8 / Stop The H8 ralley, as part of the national protest. _ 3565 Visits 142 Images Shared Album 8. MERI Celebration of CT  (November 14, 2008) - MERI hosted a celebration of the recent landmark decision in Connecticut allowing gay and lesbian couples to marry featuring the Rhode Island premiere of the newly released documentary, Saving Marriage at RISD. Jenn's Farewell  (July 31, 2008) - Friends and supporters gathered at the Trinity Tavern to wish Jenn Steinfield good luck as she leaves MERI for new challenges. _ 1403 Visits 19 Images Shared Album 10. Bartender of the Year  (June 6, 2008) - Sponsered by Divine Providence, the First Annual Bartender of the Year Contest was held at Club Gallery as a fundraiser for MERI. Anniversary Celebration  (September 29, 2007) - One year on and we are getting married!  MERI Rallied to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Massachusetts Supreme Court decision granting RI residents the right to marry.  Bringing their licenses, their pictures and their families, couples from RI celebrated the right to marry. _ 18545 Visits 58 Images Shared Album 12. Valentine Rally  (February 14, 2007) - It was time for the annual ralley at the RI Statehouse for the cause of Marriage Equality.
