April Fool's Drag Brunch (April 5, 2009)-
The annual April Fool's Drag Brunch, a fund raiser for the Rhode Island Pride Committe was held on the first Sunday @ Downcity.
Making her first official appearance, the new Miss Gay RI 2009, Divine Lee Sei, joined Jacqueline DiMera, Haley Star and Sabrina Blaze in entertaining the two sold out seatings.

This month's Drag Brunch was once again a sell-out for both seatings.
This month the ladies raised hundreds of $$$ for AIDS Project Rhode Island.

ACOS Mardi Gras Ball 2009 (February 21, 2009)-
The annual ACOS Mardi Gras Ball was held at the Downcity Restaurant this year and was a big success.
The restaurant was decorated and lighted just for the night and the food was straight from New Orleans.
Thanks to the sponsors, Downcity, donors and guests ACOS raised over $25,000 !!!

It was a snowy morning and yet they came out for the Christmas Drag Brunch.
Hosted by Jacqueline, Kitty, BB, and LaDiva worked two seatings to raise over $1,400 for the AIDS Care Ocean State's Adopt A Family Program.

November's Drag Bruch (November 16, 2008)The ladies returned for another morning's fun and frivolity. This month there was a bit of a change as Jacqueline was delayed due to traffic. Haley worked hard and then Jacqueline had to work harder to catch up! This month they raised money for Options, Rhode Island GLBT newspaper for over 25 years.

The annual Hung-Over Drag Brunch was held this year at Down City Resturant. The ladies had to work hard running up and down the stairs, and there wasn't an empty seat in the house, but fun was had by all!

Downcity Opening (September 7, 2007)-
Rising from the ashes of the fire 15 ½ months ago that saddened the community, the Downcity Diner has reopened, doubling in size and bringing back all the fun and good food of the past. Co-Owners Abby Cabral and Rico Conforti, welcomed Mayor Cicilline, family, friends and supporters to a grand opening party with Miss Kitty Litter working the microphone at the front door.
