16 The bases and stems of the lamps are identical. The brass on the lamps needs cleaning, but then there is the patina thing.
17 There are two marks on the lamp bases. One is shown here...it is the notch where the lamp cord goes. Evidently at one time the cord must have scorched the lamp. I think it can be scraped off, but I haven't attempted that.
18 This is a close up of one of the lamp stems. You can see that the color is a wonderful translucent marbled butterscotch.
19 Here is the other flaw. It is a small burn mark on the other lamp base. It's not big, and could be sanded off.
I haven't cleaned this pair at all, thinking it is best left to the new owner. I also have a socket that matches the push through socket on the other lamp.
PRICE the pair 200.00
20 These are shoe clips by Musi. Very sturdy, and in excellent condition.
21 The clip mechanism is strong and is going to hold when you attach them to your shoe. Here is shown one of the grabbers.
22 They are brass, and they are 2 1/2" across.
23 The mark is on each clip.
24 Two fancy shoe clips in Lucite.
25 The clips are in great shape and they measure 1 3/4" across.
The Lucite is clear, with a softlemon yellow color.
26 One clip appears peachy here, but they are both soft yellow.
27 Something a little different here. A plastic tortoise colored compact. This could be Celluloid, I'm not sure. It is large at 4 1/2" tall.
38 This looks like a huge fish mouth....SNAP! In the throat of the monster, you can see some white, and that is where is says Made in Italy.
The purse is in excellent condition. The lining is intact, and the clasp works. The purse is 9" tall and 6" wide. The chain is 18" long.
39 Love these Old Jewelry books. This one is the 5th Edition by C. Jeanenne Bell. The full title is Answers to Questions About Old Jewelry 1840-1950.
Paperback book. 8 1/2" X 11"
40 This is a sample of the indside. Mostly black and white photos, but a ton of them, and very informative. A good reference book for jewelry from this time period.
41 Here is a sample page from the color plate pages. There are three sections of them. The book includes a large section on Cameos and a section on manufacturing techniques. Both things not found in most books.
