Avast!!! This pin is for you sailors. A vintage wood pin that is painted and has a littl red string on it. The pin is carved into sail folds and water lapping on the bottom of the boat.
The pin is huge at 3 1/2" across and 1/4" thick.
Here is a wonderful little Aunt Jemimah wooden pin. She is in gorgeous condition, and is 1 1/2" tall.
Aunties back. The earrings move.
What could be more summer than red white and blue??? Some great jewels here, plastic, red Bakelite cuff, and Richard Kerr(SOLD) star earrings. Not to mention the honkin big blue rhinestone bracelet toward the front left.
The plastic necklace and earring set is gorgeous. The necklace is 16" and the cubes on it are 7/8" square. The earrings are the screwback clip kind and are 1 1/2" long, shown on the earring holder in the previous photo.
PRICE the set 55.00
Love this one too! A wooden elephant, or as someone said...an ephalump. He is perfect, and he is big, as an elephant should be.
The clasp is a C clasp, and the tusks are Lucite.
He is 4 1/2" from ear to ear.
Here is a wooden horse with a leather looking rein. I think it's leather, can't tell. This guy is 2 1/2" tall and he is 2 1/2" from his nose to his ears. He is quite thick too, almost an inch thick.
One more wooden brooch here. This time, the bells are attached to the leaves with leather straps.
In good condition, that is a reflection on one of the leaves, not goop. The brooch is 3 1/4" across, and has a C clasp.
Three nice little wooden bells, tied on to some carved wooden leaves.
The clasp is a C clasp, and the pin is 3" wide, and almost 3" tall.
This necklace is a kick! It is done by an artist in Dunsmuir CA, who has no name evidently. She takes pieces and parts of Bakelite and combines them with other elements for a happy, colorful necklace.
Here you can see some of the many different beads used. Most are glass beads here, and a few plastic ones.
The necklace is a slip over the head one, and it is a wearable 29" long. The focal drop is 3 1/4" long.
The large yellow piece is Bakelite, as are the two dangly pieces. The center piece is Lucite with three apples inside.
The flat disks are Bakelite, and the bumpy ones are glass lampwork beads.
The clip mechanism is tight. And the clip is pierced.
Standing on end, the black at the bottom is the clip part showing through.
This is a Bakelite dress clip that is black and red. It is 2 1/2" tall and 1/4" thick.
Sort of looks like a horse shoe with a flower on it.
Upside down here. The clip part is in great shape, as is the entire front.
What a great piece of applejuice Bakelite! The bar pin measures 3 1/4" long.
Clear and bright, there are no flaws on this one.
Little wooden squirrel pin is darling. He is in wonderful shape, and is only 1 1/2" tall.
This is guaranteed vintage Bakelite. Not newly made, and tested positive for Bakelite with 409.
Here you can see the original color just above the left side red rope. The rope is a plasitc cord and is wound around the butterscotch life preserver, so it is attached to the life preserver, but it does move up and down a tiny bit, as you can see.
The brooch is a large one at just over 2 3/4" tall. All original and in excellent condition.
You can see here how the cord is attached to the life preserver.
I knew I had seen this brooch before! It is in Matt Burkholz's book...The Bakelite Collection page 141.
The red white and blue cord is wound around the anchor and is loose. It is not glued to the anchor, and it is braided, but not secured at either end. Amazing that this has remained in such good condition, considering it's age.
The center part of this clip is Lucite. The outer design is rhinestones.
You can see the dimensionality of this piece. The stones are all clear and sparkly.
The clip is in good shape and holds well. It is 2 1/8" from tip to tip.
Nice little butterscotch Bakelite hoops. They are 1 1/8" across and dangle to 1 3/4".
Three little Lucite rings that look like Jello!
Two are size 5 1/2" and the green one is 6 3/4". #16
He is a cutie skunk, and is best seen if you click on the photo. He is only 1 1/2" tall and made of wood.
This is a little wooden pin with a bull and cow on it. The faces are carved and painted on both sides. The bar is 1 1/2" and the bovines hang down 2".
These beautiful butterscotch Bakelite earrings are an inch across, and they are clips.
Click on the group images for detail. I tried to photo each component seperately, but I might have missed one or two pieces.
Plastic necklace and 1950's plastic earrings. The necklace is 31" long with no clasp. It has tiny colored bead in between the large white ones.

Here is a close up of the earrings on the neck form. They are vintage clips, and are 2 3/4" long.
Fun plastic necklace in pale lemon yellow. It is 18 inches long.
PRICE 38.00
Earrings on the stand are clips, and are Bakelite.
Mint condition 1970's necklace on the stand. Made of wood and is wearable at 24". PRICE SOLD
The screw back earrings on the stand are a wonderful shade of yellow, and they are a moonglow.
This guy is so cute! He is wooden, and signed on the back Beauregards. He is 3 3/4" long and has little poky things on his back and tail. A red glass cab eye.
Here is a fantastic collection of warm yellows and one wonderful earring pair that is bright purple.
Earrings on top of stand are by FENDI. A pearl like finish with a gold color surround. Some peeling on the nacre. 1 5/8" long. PRICE 10.00
Yellow earrings on top of stand to the right are a beautiful smooth yellow plastic. Also large, they are 1 3/8" long. Clips PRICE 8.00
This necklace has a lot going on here. There is a separate mesh chain behind the chain of glass beads, gold metal balls, and plastic balls on the gold chain. The necklace is 21 1/2" with a drop of 3".
Here are the purple earrings I don't think this photo does them justice. They are 3 1/2" long and the lager part on the bottom is 2 1/4" across. Clips.
The earrings on the top left are from the 1950's and they are Celluloid.
A pale, pale yellow. They are clips and are 3 1/4" long. They have a metal bar on the back, so they won't droop.
Here we have antique glass, rock crystal, vanilla amber, Bakelite and a brooch by Thierry Muggler.
The clip earrings on the stand are not Bakelite, although they look like the Weiss Bakelite earrings.
This necklace is amazing. It is a pale yellow vanilla color, and that's what it is called...vanilla amber. The necklace has no clasp, but it is 30" long, so goes over the head easily. The largest bead is 1 1/8" across. All hand knotted.
Here is your special plastic, no clasp, fruit necklace. It is 28" long.
The fruit colors are bright.
Another red, white, and blue group for you. All plastic and Lucite, YSL earrings, and Miriam Haskell earrings.
The necklace on the stand is a fun nautical themed necklace. It is a light navy blue, and made of painted wood. The necklace is probably 1970's or 1980's. It is 28" long.
Besides being beautiful this parure is unusual. It is a silver color metal with red and black plastic pieces rivited to the metal. There is also a clear rhinestone in the middle of each flower.
Necklace is 18 1/2" long. Bracelet is 7 3/4" long and the screw back earrings are an inch across.
Here is a bright blue and green necklace and earring set.
The beads are plastic. The necklace is 46" long with a clasp, and the earrings are for pierced ears.
More plastic from the book Plastic Bangles, page 166. This set is a yummy red and yellow and green jello set.
There are brass beads on the necklace among the plastic beads. The necklace is 31" and has a clasp. The earrings are clips, and are 1 1/2" long.
These whoppers say Made In Italy on the back. They are clips, and are plastic. They have a marbled effect on all the layers. 1 3/8" across.
Love this black and red plastic necklace from the 1960's.
The necklace has a spring ring, and is 35" long. In excellent condition.
Get out your 1950's poodle skirt and your crenolines! This set will be perfect with it.
Pink and black plastic on this set. I don't know if it is from the 50's, but I'll bet it is.
Necklace is 17" including the extender, and is marked Western Germany. The earrings are clips, and are 1 1/4" across. The backs have been replaced.
I have had this little Celluloid pin for a long time. Just a sweet little piece, probably from the 40's or 50's.
The mechanism is a C clasp. The pin size is 1 5/8". The stones are all there and all sparkly.
These are sooooo 1070's. They are plastic, perhaps Celluloid, but I'm not sure of that.
They are for pierced ears and are light as a feather. I bought these is the 1970's...they are wonderful. They are 4 3/4" long.BC
These are Bakelite earirngs. They ave a marble swirl to them, and are screw backs. They are 1 1/8" across.
This earring has everything going for it! It is in excellent condition, it is Bakelite, and it has all the attributes of Haskell.
The clip patent number was issued in 1952.
The earring is 1 3/8" long, and the components are wired to the filagree back, no glue. The only thing that isn't Haskell, is the actual clip. I think this is not one that was used by Miriam Haskell.
These are large fun red and white earrings. They are plastic and are for pierced ears.
Very light weight, the earrings have a diameter of 1 1/2".
Here is a fun set. Both are Bakelite. The bracelet is on elastic so will fit most. I put it on my wrist, and there is no elastic showing. About 7 1/2".
The earrings are clips and are 1 1/8" across. All in excellent condition. #9
This set is from the book Plastic Bangles. It is red, white and navy.
The bangle is a tad larger in diameter than the usual bangle, as it has a 2 5/8" opening. The earrings are clips, and they are 1 1/8" across.
A satin sheen on this green marbled plastic set. The set is newly made.
The bracelet is 1 1/4" wide with narrow walls. The ring is a size 8. Both are satin smooth and in mint condition. #9
This set is vintage and similar to the Weiss Bakelite set. It is vintage, but not Bakelite and not Weiss. One of the earrings is marked Weiss, but I'm not sure if it is the original clip, or the other earring clip is the original.
In excellent condition. This bracelet will fit a smaller wrist, but it also fits my wrist which is average.#9 PRICE 165.00
This cool set is plastic, and it looks like a small bracelet, but actually is wearable at 7" long. Has a fold over clasp. The earrings are clips, and are almost and inch across.#9 PRICE the set 20.00
This is the saw tooth set. Three bracelets fit together to make one. Or, wear as three. They don't lock together, they just fit together. The set includes the three bracelets and the earrings in the previous photo. Also, in the book, Plastic Bangles.#9 PRICE 45.00
This is a fabulous necklace done in the yummy butterscotch and red BAKELITE.
The chain is a cobalt and white Celluloid. The white has started to get the nice soft ivory color to it.
The necklace has a brass fold over clasp, but you really don't need it, as the necklace is about 31 inches long. Just pop it over your head.
I tested the yellow and red discs with 409 with postive results.
This is just an excellent example of old Bakelite jewelry, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
This pair of dress clips is Vintage BAKELITE, and has been tested positive with 409. I guarantee that these two are Vintage.
The butterscotch color is yummy, and the clips on the back have been rivited on to the Bakelite. The clips say "Made in USA" on them.
The clips are each 2 1/4" long. The clip mechanism works well.
You can see what looks to be a crack on the back of one clip. It is not a crack, it is a scratch. You can see that the mark does not go through the piece at all if you look at the photo with the two clips on the side. If you will enlarge the photos, you will get a better idea.
I promise you, you will not be disappointed with this great pair.
This piece is one that I love. I am so partial to the plastics and to good plastics. This one has it all.
If you click on these photos, you will get an enlargement and a better idea of this piece.
It is an ART DECO CELLULOID AND BAKELITE piece.
I found this beauty in Missouri. It was not happy....the stones were shot...but now... WOW.
I re stoned the piece and it is now in good health. The Celluloid chain is a pale peachy-orange color, and there is no clasp. It fits over your head.
I'm in love with this chain...it is just perfect. No condition issues. the chain is 25" long...the part that goes over your head. It fits over my head easily, and I have a big head.
Here is a view of the chain and the beautiful condition of the focal.
The piece looks brand new, but it was probably made in the 1940's. The Bakelite part is the reddish pendant.
You can see lines on the front of the pendant. They are the grooves on the back that show through to the front.
The large square center stones are about 3/8". The pendant is 2 3/8" long.
The stones are chanel set.
The back has grooves in it that show through to the top. The center back shown here is dark because the stones are set in the center and the light doesn't go through them.
