Brother Fred Krum had a dream that someday his lodge would be re-born. His dream has come true. I am sad that 4 of the new members left before the pictures were taken. They had 12 members at the meeting. 6 had the Initiatory Degree conferred and 5 applications were read (with more to come). |

Shamrock #4 Detroit Riverboat Cruise (7-17-09)| A couple of younger Shamrock #4 Jr. Odd Fellows along with their Youth Advisor and an Assistant Advisor enjoy a cruise on the Detroit River on a sunny day. The trip was earned through their fund raising efforts where at the recent Gratiot Cruise the youth were responsible for food preparation and sales. They earned $800 which will allow for nice recreational opportunities, as well as to give back to the community with a charitable project they are planning. |

Charlie Trombley's Fundraiser Party (6--28-09)| Monroe Lodge #19 musters and rallies to support their mentor and leader Grand Secretary Charlie Trombley with a fundraiser to help defray some of his medical expenses. Many fraternal friends and family members from about took part in the festivities. There was a Disc Jockey, Karaoke, 50/50 raffles, gift baskets, auction items, a bake sale, kid's games with prizes, and face painting, along with good food and refreshments. Thank you to everyone who participated. The camaraderie and love demonstrated was felt by all and was heart warming. Charlie you are the best!!! |

Eastpointe Youth go to the Tigers (Oct 2008)On September 22, Shamrock #4 Jr. Odd Fellows attended a free Tigers Ball Game at Comerica Park, for purposes of having quality recreation opportunities and to hopefully help with membership recruitment efforts. Members, their friends, and adult chaperones numbered 15 in total. Prior to the game, we grilled hot dogs at the Eastwood Lodge and also took in peanuts and beverages. Transportation was via the Odd Fellows Bus. A wonderful experience was enjoyed by all participants, at no cost to the children. Complementary tickets were provided by the Detroit Tigers organization as part of the Commissioner's Initiative for Kids program. Thanks you Tigers for your goodwill and support of our youth."

Here are some of the pics I took at the Odd Fellows #496 and the Rebekahs #499 picnic this Saturday July 19th. We had a great time and I want to thank our Vice Grand Brian Barr for getting it all together. I want to thank the Rebekahs for taking care of the kids games and doing the 2 50/50's. Also to Pat for getting the horseshoe tournaments going. Another shout out to Don Torr who helped us get the 8 bikes that we raffled off to the kids. A great time was had by all. Greg Schornack NG |

UNP Speakoff (March 2008)| 14 very worthy young men and women participated in the State Speak Off in Lapeer. Lapeer did a fine hosting job, and 8 lucky individuals are on their way to a life altering trip! The United Nations Pilgrimage for Youth is one great program. We met a lot of parents/grandparent who now know about the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs because of it. |
