I love making Tag Art. Tags for journaling, and adding into art books and journals. I often turn them into book marks, and give instead of convention greeting cards. Oh and yes of course I use them to adorn gifts.
My tags come in all sizes, some to hide & tuck into little spaces, some large and heavily embellished for displaying in altered books.
The shapes vary too! From the traditional shipping tag to butterfly wings.
