February 2010 - Before painting the base coat/clear coat on the outside of the trunk lid, paper patterns were made of the areas that originally contain waffle like padding on the under side of the trunk lid.

February 2010 - The paper patterns are marked onto waffle type padding very similar to that originally used at the factory and they are cut from the material.
