Sylvia to Print
2. Sylvia to Print  (August 10, 2005)
These pix were uploaded at high resolution so you may download and print on your own or upload to Costco's site and order prints to be picked up within an hour if you so choose.  Try it.  It works very well.  Or order through ImageEvent. (This site.)  They will mail them to you for a fee.

The drawback is they take a bit longer to download because you need high resolution for a good print. (Click "Prints" at the top.)

BlackandBrownWars
4. BlackandBrownWars  (March 2005)
The photos within have been captured by Michael Riddick, Net Profiles. There are two scenes within:  The protest march set up by Los Angeles Leaders to deal with some of the frustrations felt after recent killings and a police shooting. Then the issue of Black and Brown tensions raised its ugly head with the killing of 17 year old Demetrius "Bear" Williams.  Check them and keep your ear to the ground.

Another one.  Another LAPD mishap.  Another protest.  Another life lost.  This one was 13.  His name was Devin Brown.  His crime?  Stealing a car.  His punishment?  Death.
Community wants to know--How Long?

Michael Riddick was there to capture the aftermath and funeral.  His cameras captured the frustration. No words are needed.  Stay tuned.

As you prepare to view this memorial service of a young man you may not have known, just look deep into the faces, and you will see your son, your brother, your sister, your mother, your Dad.  It's all here...a wholesome family, a man who worked for NBC, had a wife and a child, who lived his dream or riding motorcycles.  One man commented at the services that not only was he good at fixing bikes, but he popped a wheelie with a piece of chicken in one hand and a soda in the other.
Special thanks to Amelia "Sherry" Divinity for her assistance with this pictorial.

MotorcycleAccident
45. MotorcycleAccident  (December 2, 2002)
Our photographer, Michael Riddick, Net.Profiles, happened upon a tragic event that occurred yesterday, Dec. 1, 2002.

According to eye witnesses, just after 1 pm Morrell "Keyonn" Hammick Jr. and a friend were motorcycling south on Western  near 84th Place when a woman driving a van with a man and children inside struck him, killing the 24 year-old Morrell instantly.

Morrell, was one of the "Ruff Ryders" (Los Angeles Chapter) Motorcyle Club.  Many of the members came out and waited with the family, grieving and mourning as his body lay still in the street until approximately 4:30 PM when it was removed.

Tensions ran high as the mother, father and other family and friends waited for police to finish their investigations.  The driver, a Latina, her children and a male companion were whisked to the side by police during the process.

For further arrangements you may contact Michael Riddick at (323) 757-0340.
