Sylvia to Print (August 10, 2005)These pix were uploaded at high resolution so you may download and print on your own or upload to Costco's site and order prints to be picked up within an hour if you so choose. Try it. It works very well. Or order through ImageEvent. (This site.) They will mail them to you for a fee.
The drawback is they take a bit longer to download because you need high resolution for a good print. (Click "Prints" at the top.)

Farewell to Sylvia Drew Ivie (August 10, 2005)Well, it's a wrap. We have officially given Sylvia Drew Ivie her send-off from T.H.E. Clinic, Inc. Thanks to all of you who participated, helped, brought flowers, arranged awards, took photos or cooked. It was truly a community celebration for our dear friend.

There are two scenes within: The protest march set up by Los Angeles Leaders to deal with some of the frustrations felt after recent killings and a police shooting. Then the issue of Black and Brown tensions raised its ugly head with the killing of 17 year old Demetrius "Bear" Williams. Check them and keep your ear to the ground.

UrbanIdols (July -Aug Preliminaries)The Expo and Club Hall of Fame were blown away by the numbers of entrants into the West Coast Club Hall of Fame Urban Idols Competition. Out of almost 100 entries a small fraction will be selected at Wednesday's semifinals to comptete at the Expo for $1000 and if qualified, to go on a USO tour.
