Bernie,
These are great pictures. How are you? I've spent many years thinking of you. You were in inspiration in my youth and sparked my nerve for the Drag Racing Sport in my teens. Unfortunately the money in my wallet never allowed me to get past my post years of Drag Racing in the early 70's. I have never forgotten my pre-adolescent years watching your drag racing buddies coming to your home in China Lake directly across the street from our home and watching you guys tune up cars. Wow, as a kid of 3 and 4 years old that is some awesome memories. I’ll also never forget when Gary and I played hokey from 1st grade school to get a treat of homemade cookies and milk from one of the neighborhood gals. I don’t know if you remember my dad Ray Ellingson. He has asked me many times if I ever heard how Bernie is doing. My father is still doing great. We lost our mother 10 years ago, but dad is still hanging in there. Sure would be great to let my Pop’s know how your doing, or would even be greater if we can get you two connected for some good ole’ time reminiscing. I don’t know if you remember my uncle Al Boyack? Can you believe he just retired from his government job 3-weeks ago? I don’t remember how old he is, but he’s got to be the oldest government employee ever. Would be nice to hear from you, and it would be a bonus to hear from Gary as well. I hope all is going well for you and your family. I look forward to hearing from you.
