Wow! That's pretty impressive! Nothing like a huge fish in the water to alleviate motion sickness. LOL - Patty Engel, Thu, 27 May 2004 7:31AM

Well, I did it again! Another 53 pound fish! just a different color this time... I speared my biggest white seabass today, speared it at Santa Cruz Island. I was super sick on the ride over.... I threw up... arrgh.... and was about to sleep for a few hours, when one of the guys came back to the boat and said that he saw a huge seabass. I hurriedly got dressed and jumped in the water. About 20 minutes later, I saw this huge fish, slowly finning through the kelp. I lined up and blamo. He took off very strongly, and we battled for over 5 minutes. It was a fierce battle, and I was tested to my limits.... but I ended up getting a hold of him and grabbed him in the gills and got him to the surface. It took over 10 minutes of calming myself to catch my breath. - Marco Farrell, Mon, 24 May 2004 12:54PM
