Rosy Floorcloth. This is a canvas floorcloth and the focus of the project is to teach my rose method.
I love the local garden shop and the owner is such a nice person...I thought of this project and painted it for her counter for Mother's Day.
This is a large oil that I painted when I was painting and selling fine art reproductions. My last name at the time was "Seip" ...you can see that in the corner.
The is a "faux" tapestry I painted in acrylio.
It' about 42 x 55" and hangs on a rod.
I decided to take a few pictures of the roses in my garden along with my paintings. I plan to paint some different types of roses for my next DVD.
My Demo for the night. It was inspired by some designs by Sherry Nelson and Melanie St. Bernard. I sketched it first, then sideloaded shadows around the drawing, the added washes of color and sideloads. All the white in the flowers is the background showing through.
