I added lots of definition and color to the sky and water... (St. Ann's Home), This project consisted of 14 wall sections, several were 17 feet and a few were 13 feet long.  It was finished in 18 days.  My students/friends from my NH Thursday night group came for this painting seminar. They basecoated, varnished and painted details and large areas. Paid was furnighsed by Plaid Paints, Folk Art.  It was finished on schedule. 101 starting sky and wall Kathy working on the sky, Susan taping and measuring to make a stone wall.. The boys in this home live here full time, it is also a school. 102 Me Working on the "Good Morning" wall.  The walls were designed in this dorm so I would have maximum space to paint.  My intention was to add color, interest and as many things as I could think of to brighten and personalize this space for the boys so they would be proud to live here. 103 painted window and frame This is the Winter window at one end of the dorm 104 Music wall 105 Boston skyline window 106 music wall with real guitar and trumpet added 107 my student Linda, painting "feet" on all the stands 108 Martha Old friend...she is "basing on" a drum set.  This will be a colorful addition to the main living area. 109 fish tank and paddle this aquarium is painted near the tropica window.  The fishing pole and paddle are are real and added just for fun. 110 dog final this scruffy little dog sits next to the elevator...his leash hanging down....he's waiting for his walk. Always supportive and caring...such a privilege to have her for my friend. 112 Friends/Students Working on mural sections, learning to use a projector, learning to be brave and write on walls...lol.  Left to right Linda, Martha and Susan.  I was able to paint so much in this dorm because I had such good help to base the colors in, varnish, etc. 113 workman warming himself at my fire 114 workman It was cold outside and when he came in and saw the fire he went right too it.  He thought it was so funny and allowed me to take his picture. 115 fireplace with clock and furniture near it 116 bike Need to paint a hanger for it 117 Pennants opposite the Boston Skyline Window These are painted to look real.  I liked the little painted string and tack to hold them up. 118 painted a hook to hang bicycle 119 hallway this is the main hallway coming into dorm.  I'm pleased that the bike and banners look so real and the "view" of Boston is fun to see. 120 finally finished!!!!
