FRAN'S TOY RAT TERRIERS (May 15, 2003)
Here are some pictures of our toy rat terriers. We strive to raise loving pets and companions. I bought our first rat terrier puppy for my husband for Christmas several years ago. He was a wonderful pet, stayed right with my husband and slept with our grandson. On Christmas Eve day he was ran over by a car and killed. We missed him so much we decided to start raising these wonderful loving pets for others to enjoy and still their hearts... And that's how Fran's Toy Rat Terriers got started. I have been blessed to have met so many rat terrier breeders who have sooo much helped me on my journey of raising these sweet animals or children... We have changed how we look at these babies and have changed a lot in our breeding program to better our stock.. We specialize in toy rat terriers.. We hope you enjoy seeing our rattie family! |

HURRICANE FRANCIS (AKA: FRANCIS) (October 12, 2004)| This is Francis she is our little run about...She loves running next door to play with my brother -in-laws dog and at times she wants to stay and play when I call for her to come in.. At night when she is ready for bed she goes to my computer room and waits for me to open the door so she can go to bed for the night.. She is spayed by our choosing for her not to have anymore puppies..She had us one beautiful litter and we felt that was enough for her.. |

ROPIN' IN THE SKY "STEADMAN" (June 7, 2004)This little boy comes to us from Melissa Kidd at Kidd's Kennel.. Thank you Melissa for such a strong beautiful little boy that will carry a "strong Loving Name"!
Steadman was named in loving memory of my "DEAR" sweet friend Eddie Steadman who quietly passed away at home April 6, 2004 with his loving wife Vicki and son Jason by his side. Eddie was a great horseman. He loved to rope and loved to teach children the art of horses and roping... He held many ropings at his home for young children and took out time to take his electric bull to area schools so children could see what roping was all about... Eddie was a strong man, humble, loved life, took nothing for granted, and was loved by many from the young to the old, me being one of them. He will be missed here on earth, but now his pain and suffering is over. You fought a good fight my "FRIEND" And you "WON" the race, for now you are at "Rest" in the LOVING ARMS OF JESUS!
Eddie died of ALS!
Steadman is a verified toy weighing 3.8 pounds, he is 8 1/2 inches tall and 8 inches long. |

TEARING DOWN THE OLD AND BUILDING NEW! (September 1, 2004)In the early 70's this smokehouse was built to cure our hog meat in...Every Christmas we had sugar cured ham,our own bacon and sausage.
Today watching this old smokehouse being tore down took me back to a lot of wonderful memories. How I would fry sausage and burn the gravy or it was so thin you could have drank it..How I cried and called my little sweet granny and she came and spent the whole weekend with me to teach me how to make good gravy. How on one Thanksgiving we killed our hog and then my sister-in-law and I stayed up all night canning sasuage. Not five or ten pounds but 107 pounds! It took us two days to get all the grease off the walls, stove and floors. The curing of meat has long past and now we are tearing down the old to build new... A new building for my rattie mommies and babies.. Many THANKS to my SON, HUSBAND AND BROTHER-IN-LAW for giving me this new home for my babies and mommies! Hope you enjoy watching our new rattie haven go from ground to finish... |
