Blue in Flinthill AHT's
4. Blue in Flinthill AHT's  (February 7, 2005)
This is a pictoral history of how the color blue developed in our hairless dogs.
It is an interesting "plus" result of our (Bonnie Turner & Teri Murphy) quest for the "type" rat terrier we wanted to use in our budding AHT outcross programs for Flinthill and Wudnshu.
Blue must be present on both sides of the family to be expressed.
Blue, (like ALL colors/patterns) works genetically in the hairless just like it does in the coated dogs.
We knew we had blue behind the rat terriers we used in our outcross program, but we were focused on "type".
We were therefore pleasantly surprised when our first blue hairless, "Luna" was born in the "Celestial" litter, from Hayley and Rowdy.
This album is the maternal picture "pedigree" of Hayley, who is the dam of our first blue puppy, Luna.
A pictoral pedigree of Luna's sire "Rowdy" will be in another album.
