"I am lost for words,as I sit here reading everything on this site my tears want stop, tears of sorrow, pride and honored to be here and thankful for the family sharing a part of his life with the world. What a insperation and I feel a sence of peace in my heart knowing that Chris has passed on his wisdom and faith to his brothers and sisters that they will never forget, may GOD bless all of the military and there familes for giving us freedom and to the Mason family !!Chris will never be forgotten. My prayers and thoughts go out to the entire family. Shirley-San Antonio Texas" --Shirley, 10/14/08
"When I read about Chris' sacrifice, and those of so many others on behalf of God, America, and freedom, I find myself challenged by his life. Have I lived my life well enough to deserve his sacrifice on my behalf? Have I loved God and country enough so far to be worthy of his courage? I think not. Chris Mason's willingness to die for a bigger cause than himself should make us re-evaluate our own lives in order to lie them more worthily, and less trivially. Thank you, Corporal. I look forward to shaking your hand in Heaven. Our mutual friend, Camille Cox, sent me to your site. Rev. Dave Kirby, Troy,AL 10/27/08" --Dave Kirby, 10/27/08

"I never met Chris, but he is my hero. He is an amazingly courageous man. His life will never be forgotten. There is not a braver way to leave for heaven. My brother is in the marines and is leaving in June, 6 months after my niece is born, and he won't see her for a year. I know for a fact, that Chris's story is one of his biggest inspirations for doing so. My thoughts and prayers are with the Mason family. God bless." --Ashlynn, 01/24/09
