Until I published the first edition of this comprehensive guide to American boxing cards from 1886 to 1966, one of the last areas of sports card collecting left without a decent guide was boxing cards. The book listed here today is a brand new revised 5th edition. I have added many new sets and hundreds of up to date REAL prices for cards.
I cover virtually every major set issued from 1862 to 1966. Items are given an encyclopedic treatment, with extensive written commentaries on the cards and hundreds of illustrations, checklists and prices. The first third of the book is devoted to 19th century issues. The middle third of the book covers 20th century cards, including virtually all of the T cards and E cards, as well as Goudey, York, Leaf, Topps, etc. I am especially proud of the third section, which catalogues and exhaustively checklists the issues of the Exhibit Supply Company.
