Cougar Mt. loop
13. Cougar Mt. loop  (August 3, 2004)
A walk around the outside perimeter of the park.  The trail follows several interesting sections of the park but is mostly a 7 mile walk in the woods.  Housing developments are beginning to cut into the park - marring an otherwise great hike with easy access.

Cougar Mt. (Coal Bunkers)
15. Cougar Mt. (Coal Bunkers)  (July 11, 2004)
A set of shots taken from the trail that follows the old rail line and coal bunkers that fed from the Franklin and Ford Mines at the top of Cougar Mountain Washington.  It absolutely astounding what 100 years of vegetation has done to this area.  At the time, 1890's, it was almost completely denuded - now its a jungle.  Score one for Mother Nature!!
