Hard to believe your trip is ending. I've been anxiously awaiting photos of Egypt but am glad that you are spending the time taking in the sites rather than inside at an internet cafe goofing with a computer. Enjoy and safe travels on your return! Looking forward to your stories when you are all ready to share. - Sue W, Wed, 25 Jun 2008 3:49PM
Hey all! My Mom says that, when you're browsing the other photo albums, if you put the word "favorite" in the comments she'll be glad to move that pic to this album so more folks get to see it. - Annie, Thu, 19 Jun 2008 12:11PM
I miss my car terribly - Adam Cartwright, Thu, 19 Jun 2008 7:25AM
Am so enjoying traveling "vicariously" with you all through the website - thank you for all your wonderful pictures and comments. Having just returned from the U.K., I realize how "young" its history is (i.e. castles built in the early 1000's) in comparison to what you are all seeing! Hope your trip continues to be amazing! Praying for your continued journey and safe return, Paula (Besler, not Berger) P.S. Adam, are you missing your car?!?!?!? - Paula Besler, Tue, 17 Jun 2008 11:56AM
Lovely pictures! Glad to see the trip is going well so far! - Jennifer Barger, Mon, 16 Jun 2008 2:49PM
I've been so enjoying all the pictures and seeing all of you in this amazing land. You all look radiant. Please know you are all in our hearts and prayers as you continue your marvelous travels. God blessings to you all! - Diane Barounis, Fri, 13 Jun 2008 9:45AM
Two Peace-full Images from the Day (6/13) Our guide showed us a 1st century olive press, and told us that one olive tree can support both green and black olives...two different varieties. Rebecca noted that this is a powerful image for peace in the region. We'll ask Mark B. in Jerusalem to get us a photo that shows this. Later we visited the national park on Mount Hebron, where Pan was worshiped. There we learned that there are three headwaters (?)--sources--for the Jordan River that leads into the Sea of Galilee and empties into the Dead Sea. All begin at Mount Hebron peaks...on the Syrian side, the Israeli side, and the Lebanon side. It seems to me that these three streams are also a powerful image for the region. Ask Pastor Stephen to tell you the water/stewardship story about the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea. Enough. Our minutes are running out. Thanks for visiting and leaving your encouraging words! Paul and I are crossing our fingers that we can share more pictures when we get to our next lodging. Shalom! Sue-s - Sue-s, Fri, 13 Jun 2008 8:46AM
Everyone is asking about you and enjoying the pictures. You are surrounded with prayers and love. We await your safe return and the experiences that you will have to share. Mac - Mac, Fri, 13 Jun 2008 6:42AM
You can also use the "Guestbook" to leave general comments. It only allows one post per e-mail address, so if you want to do additional guestbook posts, just enter a fake e-mail address for subsequent entries. Thanks for visiting! - Paul, Wed, 4 Jun 2008 8:50PM
