Day 8 - Aizanoi and Bursa (September 23, 2009)| A brief stop at the fascinating ruins of Aizanoi, a visit to the square that was the world's first stock market (including a visit with a former Communist mayor of the town and viewing turkeys in Turkey); followed by a long bus ride to Bursa to visit the tombs of Osman, the first Ottoman ruler and his son. Also the best hotel on the trip. |
