Queer Contra Dance: San Francisco
Contra is an exuberant, friendly, easy-to-learn American barn dance
with roots in English folk dancing. (Imagine a Jane Austen hoedown!)
Our dances are"Gender-role-free"-you dance whichever role you want with whomever you want!
We
hold monthly dances in SF and the East Bay- check our website for dates. While
many of our dancers are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans, we
cheerfully welcome our straight friends, families, and supporters.
Beginners, singles, couples, or 'whatever' are always welcome!
