A mulberry-like effect can be obtained by wetting just the edge of a mat, and wearing the paper down to a feathered edge (from the 'reverse' side - the side that darkens more when dampened) If you remove paper on the 'good' side, a different colour edge is created (take a close look at the bottom edge of the mat)
