The Ecuadorian Airline SAETA acquired 6 ex Alitalia Caravelles in the late 1970s, three of which were used for parts. Shown on this Manche issue is HC BAD, a III model, built in 1960 for Alitalia, and delivered to SAETA in 1977. It flew only 2 years, retiring in 1979. SAETA's last Caravelle operations were in 1986.
